Masculine Birthday Card

Oh, I am so tired of the cold and wet weather, so doing summer cards seem to be a relief. I have this pelican image from Hambo Stamps which I just love. I made this masculine birthday card with my son in mind. He loves to fish and keeps telling me how relaxing it can be. So, I thought I would throw a bit of humor and facts into his card. The sand and shells are all from CTMH, along with the papers. I may be entering this into a few challenges this week. Thanks for looking. Have a great day. :)

DTD Dude Time Doodle Challenge card

Over at Dude Time Doodles, they have a weekly challenge for making cards for dudes. I love this site because it forces me to make guy cards, which you know are a challenge in themselves. So, they have this nice pelican image At Hambo Stamps (digital) and I decided to use it on my card. Most of the papers are from CTMH. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Feb 23, 2010  I was chosen one of the TOP THREE entries. Thanks for a fun challenge. Here is my blog award.

Baby Scrapbook Page

I recently got this cute sleeping baby digital from Eiglas blogspot http://eiglas.blogspot.com/2011/02/eiglas-super-challenge-1-baby-birth.html for a challenge. So, I already made a card, but I loved this image and I still needed to do a scrapbook page for my son, Tim. (By the way, my son is 22 already, so I am behind. LOL)  So, here is what I came up with today. I left the bottom spot for my journaling, which I will do later. On Friday, I went to our local Archivers store and I learned how to make flowers. I used my Cricut Storybook and George cartridges for my flowers, butterfly and swirls. All papers are from CTMH, Indian Corn Blue and Fawn. I used 4 colors (my only) Copic markers to color my image. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Baby Toby baby card

I found a beautiful sleeping baby by  Eiglas at http://eiglas.blogspot.com/2011/02/eiglas-super-challenge-1-baby-birth.html . She calls this digi Baby Toby. I couldn't resist the challenge to make a card using this image. I colored the image with watercolor pencils.  Most of my papers are from CTMH, (seafoam, indian corn blue and buttercup) I used a SU punch for my flower and added a bit of the yellow ribbon for the center. The 'welcome little one' is a CTMH stamp. Thanks for looking

St. Patrick's Day Card

Well, here is my first St. Patrick's Day card. I found "Shamus Shamrock" over at Dude Time Doodles Challenge. This was a fun and challenging image to color, but I think I managed to make an okay guy card. Guys don't like ribbons, bows and flowers, so this is where the challenge got me thinking. The pot of gold was from another artist. I am sorry, but I can't remember where it was from.  Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

OCL52 Challenge

Over at Our Craft Lounge they are having a challenge using buttons and bows on our projects. I am using the ONLY set I have from OCL- For the Love of Birds. Someday I hope to own another, because I think the company is going to get tired of me using the same set over and over again for all their challenges LOL. But, I love this set. It has a very soft and gentle look. It is still before Valentine's Day, so I thought I would use the LOVE as my main focus. I had fun with this challenge and I hope you can join in on the fun. Thanks for looking.

Well, it is Feb. 14th and I just got an Honorable Mention from Our Craft Lounge for my card. Thank you OCL for recognizing my card. Here is the blinkie for my Honorable Mention.

Hambo Hoedown Challenge Continues. Woo Hoo

Wow, that first challenge from Hambo Stamps was fun using the football girl image. Well, I was rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers but the Packers won. Oh, next season will be here sooner than we think. I am going to use my footballl girl and bear image next year to make a whole ensemble of football party displays to cheer on the Steelers again.
Now, at the Hambo Hoedown, there is another challenge that I am participating this week. I received a free image for participating in last weeks, so this week is eyed monster. How cute. So, here is my card for week two of the hoedown. Come join in the fun. You can find them through the link on my sidebar. My papers are from Close to My Heart clover green and buttercup. The bottom heart border stamp is from Martha Stewart (last years valentine set) My monster was colored with watercolor pencils and CTMH clover green ink and the heart was tulip CTMH. Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Super Bowl "Go Steelers" Card

Wow, where has time gone? I started to make this card Friday because I saw a digital challenge, but I am just now getting it posted. I made full turkey dinner for super bowl Sunday and just some brownies, shaped as footballs and jerseys for dessert. But, we did cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lot of good it did. NOT. Ok, next year. So, here is my card. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
