Birds and more birds

My, oh, my, where has time gone? Last post was early January 2019. I haven't stopped crafting, just not blogging. I made a few cards to share using older stamp sets.
The first card uses a bird from the  Autumn Leaves Clear Stamps- Nature Stamps by Rhonna Farrer.
The sentiment is from PTI called Everyday Classics.

My next two cards use the set called Be Yourself from Hero Arts. I paper pieced the birds. Fussy cut the flowers in the second card. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts - Color Layering Bird and Branch set.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog.
Have a beautiful and creative day.

Starting from the beginning with sketches

Hi friends,
As I was eyeing all the beautiful cards on Pinterest, I came across Sweet Sunday Sketches. Actually, it was from Kristie Marcotte's blog and all her oodles of cards. She uses various sketches for video's and 6x6 paper pad cards. So, I found the Sweet Sunday Sketches via Pinterest. Wow, it was a little difficult to find Challenge #1, but I found it. They stopped at #300. I think I have all of their sketches on my Pinterest board labeled SKETCHES. Their last blog challenges us to start from the beginning. Well, that is what I am trying to do. I only have a few hours when my granddaughter naps, so I spend that time crafting. Here is SSSC01. The sample is from Karen Giron.

Here is my card. I used paper from Studio Calico called PRINTSHOP! The sentiment is from Crackerbox Palace. The flower dies are from Art Impressions.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog. Have a great day and I hope I inspired you to try a few sketches.

Friends are special treasures

Hi blogger friends. Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. 2018 was very hectic, busy and sad.
In April we moved from St. Louis, MO to Gilbert, AZ to be near my one and only granddaughter. Yes, I am the Mon-Fri 6:30-4:00 pm babysitter. Needless to say, I currently don't have much time for my cards. My husband also retired in May, so now I am hanging around with him more.
My Mother passed away in August and I am still mourning her loss. She was my best friend and my best critic of my scrapbooking and cardmaking.
My craft room is finally to my liking. I have reorganized it at least 4 times since I moved here.
I left behind a fabulous group of crafty women, who were like my sisters. So I guess I am mourning that loss, too.
Enter 2019. I promised myself to be more creative. I went through my 6 boxes of cards that I had made and shipped 2 big boxes to some friends. Another box of cards is going to my best girlfriend, with tons of tags, die cut and stamped images, etc. I sorted through my unfinished cards and got started on completing them. I made 6 new cards to go out to people who didn't know we had moved. Then I found a few bits and piece and threw together this card.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog. Have a blessed day!
