Thank you cards

Well, the Christmas Season is well under way and I needed a few thank you cards, so I got to work.  The stamps I used were mostly CTMH from years ago. I used a few techniques and ideas from cards posted from all the blog sites I read daily. So, if you see something that looks like your technique, thank you.

The first set of cards are from a CTMH set. The Thanks is from SU.
This next set of cards is from various companies. I love trees. Tree cards can be used for any occasion. I left these without any sentiment.

This last card was one I made for my son, who loves fishing, and had received a Bass Pro gift card and want a guy card to send a Thank You.
I will be posting these on Splitcoaster stampers as well under the CTMH company. Thanks for visiting. Have a great day and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Rose Sentiments

As I was digging through all my stamps, I came across this Close to My Heart set called Rose Sentiments. It's a funky rose, but still a rose. Must have come out somewhere between 2001- 2005. The word ROSE is from the Flower Packet set which is CTMH Acrylic stamp set. The inks are from CTMH, but the papers, which I found in my scrap file, are probably from Michael's. I know I should probably be making something for the Autumn season, but I saw a challenge to make something pink. I had no intention of submitting my card, but PINK kept calling out to me. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Dandelion Wish

Again I needed a get well card for my friend, so I did these cute mice on the dandelions. You can't see on this picture, but I used sparkly stickles on the fluffy dandelion. I found the cute grey dandelion paper at Michaels about 6 months ago on clearance. It goes with the stamp so well. Sometimes it is fun to dig into your stash and discover something so cute.
I am currently working on a scrapbook of my mother's high school and young adult years. This summer when I was visiting, she came out of her room with this oversized leather looking scrapbook. Oh was I ever surprised. I never knew she had this. I have been scrapbooking for14yrs now, and not once did she ever mention this book. The pages are crumbling as I try to carefully remove pictures and memorabilia. I have a few more pages to complete and then I will get back to making cards and posting.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Expanding my horizons

Hello, sorry that I haven't posted in so long, but I have been learning so much on all the blogs I subscribe (I usually read about 80 a day). So in the past few weeks, I have purchased a Skor-Buddy, and my first 2 Copic markers. I also found some colorful ribbons I hope to use and some digital stamps. I was reading some blog sites and found this great site for using Copic markers. Take a look.

Have a great creative day.

Masculine Cards

I was so in the mood to make cards last night, so I began digging in my stamp drawers. This cute raccoon is from a CTMH set. I made the background using one tall evergreen and did some masking. I really had fun with this card.

This second card is something I needed for a mans birthday.  The large fern is from Hero Arts and the smaller stamp is from a new set I just picked up on Monday. Thanks for looking.

Chocolate Chips

I found this cute little stamp at Michael's on Monday and couldn't wait to use it. I knew that I had the perfect piece of paper at home just calling out for this image. Sometimes you need to have fun cards !!! I hope this doesn't make you crave a yummy hot cookie. Enjoy.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Wow, what a beautiful day it is here in St. Louis. Summer is trying to hang on, but Autumn is so evident all around us. Today I am posting a card I made because I have been so inspired by Mother Nature. The colors of autumn just make me happy and I have had this stamp sitting in my drawer waiting for the right time. So, I guess it is time !!! The stamp is Pumpkin Patch Fun from Close To My Heart. It is an older stamp, but still fun to use. My checked paper is made from embossing a Cuttlebug folder that has been inked up. I started with Tulip on the indented squares. The I took my Sunflower ink and brushed it over the raised squares. I did have to darken my Tulip colored squares with my marker. Then I distressed the entire paper with Oak Brown. My image was colored with CTMH markers using Outdoor Demin, Indian Corn Blue, Goldenrod, Buttercup, Tulip, Sunflower and Oak Brown. The hanging tree leaves are from a dollar stamp I picked up at JoAnn's. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities. My tag is from Cricut Storybook and I used a small leaf punch for the little leaves. Hope you like my version of Autumn.I hope to enter this into a few challenges sometime this week and it will also be posted on Splitcoast Stampers general gallery.  Have a great day.

A Little Prayer

Thought I would share another prayer card that I made. I love blue and yellow. So cheery and comforting. The papers and inks are from CTMH: Outdoor denim, Indian Corn blue and Buttercup. The flower sprig stamp is from something I found in my drawer. The sentiment is from MY Sentiments Exactly. I used my Cricut Storybook cartridge, Spellbinders nestabilities, Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder and EK punch for the border. Posting on Splitcoast stampers under general gallery. Thanks for visiting.

My first card post

So ,this is my first card to post. I needed a card for a friend in need of a prayer, so I got busy and made this for her. After weeks of seeing all you talented people out there, I was truly inspired. The stamp is from Close to My Heart (aka DOTS)  called Miss May. And the card background is from the set Little Things Matter and the checked paper is also Garden Green from GTMH  My colors are all from Close To My Heart CTHM Garden green, Hollyhock, Buttercup. The embellishments are also from CTMH.  The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. The decorative punch is Fiskars. I really need some Copic markers, because it is hard to get the nice coverage and shading with CTMH markers. Well, one down and many more to go. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Sunsational Sunday

Ok, so I have spent the last four days surfing the web and have found so many wonderful and talented women stamping and making cards . Thanks for all the inspiration. Someday I hope to post a card or two. I have bookmarked many of the sites and have clicked many "follow" tabs. Now, I just need to go to the basement, into my sanctuary, to stamp away and reproduce a few of the sketch ideas into my own creations. Happy stamping.

Just so new at this

Okay, so I love to follow all the talented stampers out there in this techno land, so I decided to give it a try myself and start this blog. Didn't think there was much too it ! Wrong!! I just want to post of few of my simply made cards and view others and enter blog drawings. I am so inspired by all the blogs I have visited and you know, one blog leads to another. Oh well, so here is my simple attempt to join the cyber world. See you around the blog world and maybe one day I will learn how to share my card images.
